Instabank ASA reports a profit of NOK 35.2 million and significant growth in key segments

Instabank ASA, the Nordic challenger bank, achieved a pre-tax profit of NOK 35.2 million in Q3-2024 and increased growth in its most profitable segments, home loans and business loans. Additionally, Instabank sold a portfolio of non-performing loans in Finland, confirming the valuation of non-performing loans while improving the bank’s capital adequacy.

Highlights for Q3-2024:

  • Pre-tax profit was NOK 35.2 million, a slight decline of NOK 0.7 million compared to Q2-2024.
  • Post-tax profit was NOK 26.4 million, with a return on equity of 11.5%.
  • Strong growth in business loans and home loans: Business loans increased by NOK 107 million, while home loans grew by NOK 228 million.
  • Successful sale of non-performing loans totaling NOK 302 million, resulting in a positive impact on earnings and confirming the valuation of non-performing loans.
  • Strategic diversification: Business loans and home loans now comprise over 50% of total lending, following solid growth in these segments and the sale of non-performing consumer loans in Finland.
  • Geographic expansion: Instabank is making significant progress in expanding to Germany and expects to launch a competitive credit card product in the first half of 2025.
